I am in love with this recipe for so many reasons. So many that I feel like I should list them:
1. It’s a simple way of getting Superfoods like cacoa, chia seeds and himalayan rock salt into your diet
2. It’s incredibly quick and easy to make
3. The recipe only uses a few ingredients
4. It’s dangerously delicious
5. It’s ready for you to eat in the morning and you can eat it on the go – no excuses for not having enough time for breakfast
6. It’s fun to say
7. If you ever needed a reason for getting hipster jam jars then here it is
8. There are endless possible variations
9. It's not eggs
10. Kids and adults alike love it
11. It tastes so good it doubles as a dessert recipe
12. You get to eat pudding for breakfast. Pudding!
Ingredients
300ml milk of choice
40g 1/4cup chia seeds
2-3 tablespoons cacao
1 tablespoon maple syrup – more to taste
Sprinkle of Himalayan rock salt

Directions
To make this ridiculously easy recipe even easier I make it all up in one large measuring jug which also saves on washing up.
Add the 300ml of milk and then use a measuring spoon add the rest of the ingredients. I would highly recommend spending just a few pounds on these as they are worth their weight in gold allowing you to make up recipes like this a matter of seconds.
Stir and stir and stir until well combined
Pour into your cutest jars or cups and leave for at least four hours in overnight. That is it! Really! A rich, deep chocolatey pudding awaits you.

If you have a lid you can take it for the perfect breakfast on the go. Or just take your time to enjoy it. If you’re anything like me, once you realise you can have pudding for breakfast you’ll start trying all kinds of variations. Try adding vanilla, coconut or chilli. And you can add chopped fruit, nuts or even grain free granola to make it even more filling and delicious. If you think of anything else you better let me know!
It’s so delicious you can even use it as a dessert. You could use it as a pairing for a dessert platter – picture. Or blend it until smooth and serve as a mousse. But really it’s perfect all by itself with a pretty garnish it would make anyone’s day just that little bit better.
Love,
Danielle
Tip: Chia seeds can be a little annoying because they stick to cleaning utensils. If you don’t have a dishwasher I recommend swilling everything to make sure all the chia seeds are gone before you wash up.
